Squarespace website design for New Zealand businesses.
Designed around what you sell, built by someone who can code, and handed over so you can run it yourself.
What's included in a Squarespace build
Here's what you get for the price.
Design
Laid out around your services and your customers, not a template with your logo dropped into it. You see the design before anything gets built.
Build
Squarespace, with custom code where the platform can't do what you need. Fast on a phone, and structured so search engines can read the page.
Content
Your words and images loaded in and laid out. If you're stuck on the words, I'll help write them.
Handover
A walkthrough so you can change prices, hours and photos yourself. The account and domain are in your name. Thirty days of fixes after launch.
How a Squarespace project works, step by step
- A call, twenty minutes to work out what you need and whether I'm the right person
- A fixed quote and a start date, in writing, before any work happens
- Design first, with one round of changes, so nothing gets built twice
- Build and content, usually one to two weeks
- Launch, then thirty days of fixes included
Most sites are live in two to four weeks from the day your content is ready. The usual hold-up is waiting on text and photos, so get started on those early.
When I'll tell you not to use Squarespace
It's the right answer for most small New Zealand businesses. It's the wrong answer for some, and I'll tell you when I quote.
If you need a complicated booking engine, a large catalogue with unusual pricing rules, or a genuine web application, Squarespace will fight you. I build custom sites too. That's a different quote and a longer timeline, and I'll be straight about which one you're looking at.
